Our dominant dog collar is a fantastic tool for confident and experienced handlers or those working with trainers, who are working with dogs requiring behaviour modification plans, or, experienced handlers with working or sport dogs. When fitted correctly, the collar should fit snug at the top of the neck behind the dogs ears.
Our dominant dog collar is available in paracord, or biothane - and the added option for a 'tab' (extra length to act as a grab handle or to clip a leash to).
Important information on dominant collar options:
Paracord stretches - while paracord is structurally sound, it does provide give over time and once it has been wet, and will stretch a small amount with use - typically half an inch to an inch. This will cause the product to sit lower on the neck than is ideal for this tool, and require it to be moved up for effective use.
Adding a tab to the paracord dominant collar allows a stopper to be added, so the give can be adjusted for while with the stopper and providing you a handle to grab onto or clip your leash to. Adding the tab avoids the need to measure your dogs neck first and allows the collar to be transferred across different dogs.
Biothane dominant collars do not stretch over time. Adding a tab however avoids the need to measure your dogs neck first, as the stopper allows the collar to be fitted to different dogs correctly.
Features:
- Brass hardware
- Hard wearing and durable paracord OR biothane
- Made to order and sized specifically to your dogs measurements to ensure an accurate fit, or choose to add a tab and stopper to your collar to avoid the need to measure first, give yourself a handle to grab and / or clip a leash to
