Because of the quality of these buckles, they are a lot more expensive for me to buy so there is a price increase, however not as expensive as buying a replacement e collar or tracker, or risking equipment failure while it’s on your dog.

PLEASE NOTE: these collars are so secure, they are not designed to open under tension! This means you’ll need to take the tension to create slack when releasing the collar. This is excellent for those mud or water, forest and beach adventures, where other buckles may get scratched or rolled off. 

SPORT PEOPLE - if you are needing to quickly and seamlessly strip your equipment when entering the trial field this may not be the buckle for you. I know some want the removal to be swift and almost imperceptible to the dog, this buckle will require you to release the bungee first so there’s no tension or to physically use two hands to release the tension while undoing the buckle. Stay tuned for a new design featuring the old buckle in 1 inch which will be better suited to that seamless stripping of equipment.
